The Digital Health Engineer will join the LIH's Data Integration and Analysis Unit. She/He will help build a data integration centre which is the cornerstone of the Clinnova initiative. Tha data integration centre will connect key health players within Luxembourg as well as major clinical centres in the neighbouring regions. The goals of the Clinnova project is to give the ability to equally access interoperable clinical data, research data and patient reported outcomes critical for the success of the precision medicine effort.

Key Accountabilities
  • Participate in a highly innovative research project aiming to establish a Knowledge Management Environment and in particular a Data Integration Centre (Clinnova) in the medical field
  • Depending on your qualification and interest the job description can vary and may include: requirements engineering / Integration concepts for a knowledge management and big data environment based on existing IT components and systems / Design, implementation and operation of highly interoperable components (e.g. ETL processes, Data Lake technologies, IHE domains, openEHR repositories) employing medical interoperability standards (e.g. openEHR, IHE, HL7 FHIR) / Design and development of user front-ends and apps for medical users  / Communication with medical users and scientists /  Participation in scientific authoring and presentations / Participation in national and international scientific conferences
KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master’s degree in Information Technology or comparable qualification
  • Experience in the medical domain is an asset
  • Knowledge in SW development, frameworks and script languages (e.g python,SQL,git)
  • Experience in implementation of application systems is an asset
  • Basic knowledge in medical interoperability standards and terminologies (IHE, openEHR, DICOM, HL7 FHIR, SNOMED) are an advantage
  • Interest in Big Data Technologies 
  • Good organizational and relational skills and analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Language skills: fluent in English (written and oral)
